Photography: Branching Out

This photograph was taken with close up lenses that used on my old faithful Vivitar Camera. Just for fun I thought I’d give it a try. I Screwed together two close up lenses and held them over my Digital Camera Lens. The idea was to abstract a tree branch so that it would transform itself into an interesting shape. I decided to focus on the center to in order to have the edges of the tree branch distort and become an abstract shape. The sky was a wonderful blue color so I encourage it to become part the background design by trying to find a good compositional balance between sky and branch. Tree branches possess a uniqueness in design that have always intrigued me.
